P&L Trailing Settings

P&L Trailing is a function that allows the bot to close distant losing triggers, reducing risks using accumulated profit.

Start Distance

Start Distance is the initial distance that defines the activation level for P&L Trailing.

Trailing is activated when the price moves by a distance equal to Start Distance from the farthest trigger.

P&L % of Profit

P&L % of profit is the percentage of profit from each closed order that will be used to accumulate profit and pull triggers closer.

This parameter allows bots to manage risks more effectively and secure profit.

When the accumulated profit reaches a sufficient level, it can be used to close the farthest losing triggers at a loss. In this case, the losing trigger will be closed, and the accumulated profit will be deducted.

P&L Trailing Video

The amount of accumulated profit intended for deduction can be tracked in the summary statistics in the Profit to trailing field.

P&L Trailing starts working immediately after the function is enabled.

  • If, at the moment of activation, the price has already moved away from the farthest trigger by more than the Start Distance value, the bot will start accumulating profit from the moment the function is enabled.
  • If the function is enabled in advance, the bot will start accumulating profit as soon as the price moves away from the farthest trigger by the Start Distance value.
