API Key Errors

These errors occur when the bot has problems accessing the exchange through the provided API key. The reasons may vary from incorrect permissions to an expired key.

  • Api-key is invalid
Invalid API key. Check that the key was entered correctly and make sure the exchange settings meet the requirements. You may need to generate a new key. Also make sure that you are not a Master Trader on Bybit or a Lead Trader on OKX, BitMEX, or KuCoin.

  • Api-key is expired
The API key has expired. Generate a new API key on the exchange, for Bybit or OKX, and update it on the page: Exchange

  • pi-key is readonly
The API key has Read-Only permissions, which does not allow trading operations. Create a new API key with trading permissions and asset management permissions.

  • Api-key has low permissions
The API key does not have enough permissions to perform trading operations. Make sure all required trading permissions are enabled for the key.

  • Api-key has unmatched ip
The API key is being used from an unsupported IP address. Generate a new API key on the exchange, for Bybit or OKX, and update it on the page: Exchange

  • Api-key is master trader
This API key belongs to an account that manages other accounts, such as a Master Trader on Bybit or a Lead Trader on OKX, etc. Such accounts cannot be used for trading through our service. Use an API key from a subaccount or a regular account.
